Revert to N65 per litre Senate tells Jonathan - Vanguardngr

The Senate, yesterday, joined the House of Representatives in asking President Goodluck Jonathan to revert fuel pump price to N65 per litre. In a closed door session, the senators urged the Senate President, Senator David Mark to convey the message of the upper chamber to President Jonathan within 24 hours.

This came as the nationwide protest called by the organised labour against the removal of subsidy on petrol which commenced on Monday was hijacked on its second day by hoodlums in Ogun, Kaduna, Oyo and Edo states even as the Nigeria Labour Congress vowed that the protests will continue indefinitely until the Federal Government reverts the pump price of petrol to N65.

Nigerian-Lebanese Girl Arraigned and Arrested over Forged Travel Documents

Desperate to leave the shores of Nigeria, a 24 –year- old Lebanese-Nigerian, Mariam Morris went ahead and procured forged travel documents. But that act has landed her into trouble, as she has ended up in police net and finally, in court. The long arm o f the law caught up with her when she went to the Canadian Embassy to apply for visa.

She was nabbed by detectives attached the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) Ikoyi, Lagos, after they got a tip-off from officials of the Canadian Embassy.
The mulatto was alleged to have two International passports and other forged documents in her possession.

Showbiz Personality, Frank Nero, Dies at 29

TV presenter and popular showbiz personality, Frank Nero, has passed away. The 29yr old, who showed no sign of any illness, slumped and died two days Jan 2nd while at a relative's burial ceremony at his hometown in Bauchi. His cause of death is still unknown. May his soul rest in peace...amen.

Just slumped and died? God help us.
